Abstract

Materials, which are the basis for the report were obtained from several villages in Gali region. The materials focus on the changes in the customs related to the dead, influenced by the cultural circumstances at different stages of historical development. Interdisciplinary and interregional researches on the history of culture and issues in the field of thinking are essential at the current step of development. These kinds of topics are traditions related to the cult of the dead, and the sample of their comparative review is ethnographic materials identified in the below-mentioned contemporary Gali region.
